It is a sunny spring day. Greer and I load up the bikes and our gear into my truck to go for a ride. This process takes a little while (of course there's chains to be lubed and brakes to be adjusted) but eventually we are on our way. We drive 20 minutes to the trailhead. We start to unload the bikes and notice Greer's sunglasses sitting on the back bumper of the truck, right where he set them before we left.
