My new riding buddy

Yesterday I went for a light spin along the Health Valley trail. I took my new iPod riding for the first time. Having music on the trail was great; some music just seems perfect for biking with dusk approaching, like Dumb from the Nirvana Unplugged album, which showed up in the random shuffle at the perfect time.
However, about halfway home, I discovered I can't rely on shuffle. With my iPod stowed safely deep in one of the pockets of my hydration pack, the shuffle algorithm decided it was time for Kenny G! (I should mention at this point that I do not appreciate the work of Kenny G on any level, and that I share the iPod with my wife, who is entirely to blame for the offending song) I was cruising along and didn't want to break the momentum of the ride, and no worldly combination of shoulder flexibility and balance would allow me to hit the next button whilst riding. So I suffered through the entire song. Thankfully I was spared a Kenny encore, and the shuffle delivered Just Watch the Fireworks by Jimmy Eat World as I rolled into the driveway.
So, despite some great music from the shuffle function, I can't risk another Kenny G outburst. I am definitely going to make some biking playlists before the next ride. Any suggestions?
