Hydrocut in the rain

Me and my UW grad riding buddies went out for a ride at the Hydrocut earlier tonight. Once we got out on the trails it started to pour. The rain was pretty intense. The trails soon became little raging rivers that felt like sheets of ice under the wheels, and every root became a slippery menace. Delicate weight shifts and prudent braking were the order of the day.
We cut the ride short to prevent excess erosion to the trails (like any responsible rider would). We only ended up riding New Rockin' Ronnie, Stinky Girl, Frankenstein, and The Bride; about an hour all together. Heading home so soon was a little disappointing. Let's face it, getting muddy is fun. And the rain was keeping things nice and cool, and most of the mosquitoes stayed away, which was a pleasant change from the norm.
Brandon got a couple of action shots with his camera. The rain was playing havoc with the lens, but a few turned out.
