Orillia City Council has voted against running a sewer line through Scout Valley, according to the Packet & Times.

This is a big win for Bob Bowles and the Friends of Scout Valley, who petitioned against the sewer line plan. Here's a well-deserved tip of the hat to them for all their efforts.

[UPDATE 2007-04-03] I don't understand the vagaries of the Orillia council system, but it sounds like the decision not to put a sewer line through Scout Valley was (somewhat) finalized last night.
