The Waterloo Cycling Club is developing a new freeride park in Kitchener! The proposed site is MacLennan Park, which is off Ottawa between Westmount and Homer Watson. The preliminary plans [pdf] are looking great: there's going to be some north-shore style circuts for different skill levels with bridges, teeter-totters and drops, as well as a dirt jump area with walls, table tops, and pyramids.

The project is still in the planning stages and needs support. If you're interested in having a freeride park in Kitchener, go to wccfreeride.ca to sign the petition, and maybe even volunteer to help with construction. They are trying to get 1000 signatures, so spread the word to your riding buddies. Also, the WCC has prepared a flyer [pdf] to help raise awareness of this project.
